Meet The Team

Sally Thompson

Managing Director

Sally founded The Maintenance Group alongside Darren in February 2018. During her time with the business Sally has covered all areas of work in the office but she now mainly focuses on accounts, HR and manages the day to day running of the business.
Outside of work Sally enjoys spending time with her 3 children and walking her dogs, Buddy and Reeva. She also enjoys spending time with her friends and she will often be found in the various shopping centres of Yorkshire and the North West!

Darren Thompson

Operations Director

Darren is the Operations Director and founded The Maintenance Group in 2018. Previously Darren has run electrical companies throughout Yorkshire and the Northwest. Darren oversees the operational arm of the business on a day to day basis and has a heavy input with our larger projects. He enjoys spending time out on site, meeting and onboarding new clients and ensuring our clients experience with TMG is a positive one.
In his spare time you will find Darren mountain biking in the UK and various areas of Europe. He also enjoys walking with his family and dogs, eating out and socialising with friends.

Andrew Banks

Operations Manager

Andrew is the Operations Manager at TMG. He works closely alongside Sally and Darren to ensure the everyday running of the business goes smoothly. Andrew deals with customer and employee’s issues to resolve them in a reasonable manor. He assists the engineers and office staff in their roles to help provide our clients with a professional and helpful service. Andrew enjoys liaising with clients on a one-to-one basis giving them a more personal experience with TMG and to help build a transparent relationship with them.
Andrew enjoys playing football and is currently part of a 5 aside team. He is also an avid movie goer and gamer. He likes to dine out and try new cuisines and experiences. Andrew is also a lover of travel, regularly exploring different countries and their cultures with his wife.

Karen Ragan

Accounts

Karen is a newer member of our team, joining the company in January 2023 in the accounts department and also assisting with human resources. Having worked in accounts and HR departments for many years Karen has experience and knowledge in many aspects of day to day office matters.
As her family are now adults and have left the nest and progressing with their own lives, Karen utilizes her spare time helping the family by looking after her grandchildren when needed but her main passion is helping where ever she can in matters relating to mental health. Being a qualified mental health first aider Karen is also in the process of training as a volunteer for a suicide prevention charity and hopes that she can put her experience and passion to good use moving forward.

Ellie Busby

Service Desk Co-Ordinator

Ellies role at TMG is Service Desk Coordinator. She overseen the incoming of all new work instructions and quote requests. Her role involves liaising with tenants, property owners and property managers to ensure all works are scheduled promptly.
Ellie also orders materials for works and deals with all on site issues that may arise during the course of the works. During her time at The Maintenance Group Ellie has built up a close relationship with clients and colleagues.
In her free time Ellie competes in the Yorkshire Championships with her Cheerleading team. She also enjoys socialising with friends and spending time with family.

Rebecca Rennard
